Good evening 2 grade families,

Happy thanksgiving to you and your families, we hope you have had a wonderful long weekend and have had some time to enjoy the beautiful weather together!

This week at school we have had an incredibly busy week of learning. One of our main big ideas this week is we have been busy talking about Thanksgiving and our own family traditions. 

Student learning intentions this week were;

In Social studies:

-I can identify traditions and celebrations in the communities that connect people

-I understand how communities are strengthened by their stories traditions and history

In Art:

-I can use shapes in art

-I can create texture in art

-I can create my own designs

-I can self reflect on artwork and add finishing touches 

-I can draw using different tools, pencil, watercolour, acrylic paint and sharpies

We look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning. Please do not forget to bring back your T.W.A.S., Library books and your home reading!
